Battle Strategies aren't about how weak or strong you are. It is about maneuvering yourself into a position where you can counter something. There will be nothing here about skills, or weaponry. This is all about intelligence.
Environmental Positioning
Positioning yourself somewhere that you cannot be attacked by something is crucial. As you can see in the picture below, Monsieur Le'mon was being attacked by an Orc Spearman, an Orc, a Wasp and 2 Wolfs. Using the environment around him he was able to block off the Wasp, the Orc and one of the Wolves (although the Orc Spearman can use its ranged attacks still).
So how does this work? Just find the nearest corridor and camp in it? No! Environmental positioning can be using anything, as long as it blocks an attacker. In the picture below, versing the same creatures (less one Wolf) Monsieur Le'mon uses the Wasp and Wolf to block the orc, so then the orc will have to take a longer route. Even if this is small, it has saved 3-4 attacks.

Running Assault
If being attacked by several creatures, and they have different speeds. Try running while attacking the fastest one. This works especially well with Wasps, as you will only be attacked by (example) the wasp. In the picture below the player uses some Environment Positioning although they combine it with some Running Assault so the Orc cannot hit every time.
Equipment You Should Always Carry Into Dangerous Places:
Boxes / Honey Flowers - Can block so much unneeded damage and if you use Honey Flowers the weight of them isn't even that much.
Torches - Should really be taken everywhere. Always a good thing to take more than you need.
Life Fluids - 1-2 Life Fluids will only cost you 60-120gp and can easily save your life from almost anything!
