Find NPC Aphotis (he is located in cross cave to the north of Thais). Ask him what he 'offer's and agree to sell your soul to Zathroth by saying 'yes'. After that npc in Thais will be frightened of you and they wont talk to you.
The Death Business in your questlog should be completed!
