Introduction

Farming in Medivia offers the possibility of growing your own food: fruits, vegetables, berries and even mushrooms.
It does not have a direct impact on your gameplay, although it can result in long-term benefits and enjoyment.

It's also related to Food and Cooking.

Planting and harvesting

There are many places to properly cultivate crops, like the small village of Vindia, located south of Eschen, (here Map.png).
Another spot is Belvez, a small village located south of Arak (here Map.png)
Louserett it's another place with a lot of fertile dirt (here Map.png)

  • The other option for farming is to use Planting Pots which can be bought from the Medivia Store and used in player houses. The benefits of planting pots are:
    • Growing time is half, or 50%, compared to regular farming;
    • No decay time.

To begin farming, you can buy seeds from the couple that tends the farm, Vivian (here Map.png) and Rodger (here Map.png).
Vivian sells mushroom seeds and Rodger sells fruit, vegetable and berry seeds.

The way to plant and harvest is:

  • right-click the seeds and left-click on the fertile dirt to plant them
    RTENOTITLE
  • wait for the full growth time (depends on the crop and way of growing - Planting Pots are half the time)

You can tell in which growth stage the crop is by "looking" at it:
    • during the first stage after planting the message will state that "Something has been planted there."
    • in the second stage the crop will appear as a young crop and the message will state that "It is not fully grown."
    • once the full growth time has elapsed, "looking" at the crop will reveal that "It is ready to harvest."
      RTENOTITLE
  • right-click the crop to collect it.
Note: Keep in mind that anyone can collect your crops once they're fully grown, so make sure you get there first! Once a crop is harvested, it will take 1-2 hours for the crop to decay and allow for new crops to be planted (unless you use Planting Pots which have no decay time).
