Players that have recently attacked another player cannot enter a protection zone (except if both are in a party). Attacking a skulled player that has not attacked you will also forbid you from entering a protection zone.

A protection zone (abbreviated as PZ) is a safe area in which:

  • Monsters (including summoned ones) cannot enter
  • Players cannot attack other players
  • Players cannot use attack or field runes
  • Players cannot use attack or summon spells
  • Players cannot push other players outside (or inside) a protection zone
  • Mana and hitpoints are not regenerated (although the hunger timer continues)
  • Players cannot fish
  • Players that have attacked another player (even if the other player attacked first) cannot enter (unless they are both in the same Party)

Locations

You can find protection zones in the following places:

  • City and town temples
  • Depots
  • Private houses and buildings
  • Some special places such as:
    • Temple in Arena 
    • Temple in Plains of Havoc
