Bedmages
What we call a "Bedmage" is a character used for offline mana regeneration, a bedmage can be logged out into a bed and left offline to regenerate mana while you play your other characters,
many people make two to three or even five or more bedmages to keep up a good supply of runes for their main character (or even just to make some extra money).
Two requirements must be met in order for a character to be able to use a bed:
- Level 50
- Premium account
Note: Keep in mind that each account only has 4 character slots when it is created, in order to add extra character slots you will have to pay 30 premium days for each new slot,
this can be done through [your account page].
A character will regenerate 1 mana every 6 seconds while sleeping or 10 mana every minute.
Regular food such as Ham and Herrings can fill you up for a maximum time of 20 minutes or what we call "100% full".
When it comes to bedmages, you would ideally want to be able to leave your character offline to regenerate as long as possible to minimise relogging frequency.
The way to achieve longer regeneration times is through the use of food such as:
- - Dragon Ham can get you up to 200% full or 40 minutes, it can be bought from Farnaal in Yehsha for 25 gold each or looted from Dragons and Dragon Lords;
- - Hydra Ham, it is unclear whether it can get you up to 200% or 250% full, rarely used because of how difficult it is to obtain;
- Frozen Ham.png - Frozen Ham is the "best" food, can get you up to 300% full or 60 minutes, looted from Frost Dragons (avg. 2 per kill) or Frost Drakes.
The best way to make use of these foods is to combine them with regular food to get a long regeneration time but still keep it as cheap/efficient as possible.
Combinations can be calculated by taking the regeneration times of certain foods and adding them up,
keeping in mind the cap for regular foods is 1200 seconds, 2400 seconds for Dragon Ham and 3600 seconds for Frozen Ham.
Lower regen cap foods should always be eaten before the higher cap ones.
Some examples of some viable food combinations (should be eaten in the order displayed):
- 8 + 1 - a cheap combination, will fill you up for about 31 minutes - 310 mana.
- 8 + 1 - another cheap combination, will fill you up for about 36 minutes - 360 mana.
- 1 + 3 - a lazy combination, will fill you up for about 39 minutes - 390 mana.
- 5 + 2 + 1 Frozen Ham.png - arguably the most efficient combination, although it is considerably more expensive due to the high price of Frozen Ham, fills you up for a total of 56 minutes - 560 mana.
