Behavior: Giant Spiders chase their victims down very quick. Their hits are terrifying and eat through the strongest armors.
Location: Plains of havoc, under Outlaw Camp, Ghostland, Maze of Lost Souls, Hellgate, Mintwallin, Mad Mage Room, Dwarf Mine, Garrogat Hero Cave, Forgula, Garrogat Orc Cave
Strategy: Mostly Scouts hunt Giant Spiders. They have a really strong melee attack which makes it impossible to hunt within melee range. Their Haste combined with the melee is the reason why this monster is feared by low levels. Usually, you meet GS in the PoH as it is a frequently hunted spawn. If low levels meet one it is already too late.
A Scout around level 45 is able to outrun Giant Spiders with Haste and Boots of Haste. That's why you see many Scouts hunting those south of the Temple in PoH. It is also possible to kill them as a Mage with HMM's but you'll most likely waste.
