:The great ruins of Eschen, built during a time now in the distant past, and for no apparent purpose. Legends speak of a city priest who received visions of an ancient artifact created by the White Lady herself, an artifact whose only use is the ability to summon forth great beams of light without the need for charging or replenishment by wizards.
:The nights of ancient times were far more dangerous than those of today, the boundless dark allowed monsters to appear anywhere at any time, so the king of the ancient land came to the conclusion that the only way to keep his city safe was to obtain the artifact and harness its power to illuminate the city forever.

:Old tales say that the stone temple is older than Eschen. As the story goes, long ago a man came here guided by light and built a temple stone by stone, and in those dark times people found shelter within, the light kept away the monsters, and thus the faith in our goddess grew. Hundreds of years passed and the people no longer remember this story, but we do - the keepers of the White Church.

:It started. I knew it would be nothing good. Today Uliax made use of all those preparations. The lines burned with unimaginable flame, mindless creatures melted into some kind of gel. Pages, scrolls and books started to fly around him, and give away all of their knowledge straight to his mind. The screaming of some unknown creature torn apart one of the demons he summoned. Air was getting thicker and thicker as Uliax's power was growing. From under the surface spirits appeared of old magins, screaming in pain, trying to make him stop but they were helpless. I felt how my skin was slowely burning and trying to get out of my body. I made eye contact with the other guy. He run into the chest, gave it a big kick and pulled out his wife from the whole in the floor. They started running in the direction of the main entrance, where Sem was turned into the doors. I caught them at a corner and yelled in his ear to follow me. They agreed and we run into my tunnel. Just when we hit the hole, one of the demons caught the guy. The poor lady wanted to go back for him, but I pushed her strongly into the direction of tunnel, and pulled a stick I left in the entrance to make it collapse. Now there was only one way - out of it.

Books are the cornerstone of the mysteries in Medivia. Not only do they have information on the mysteries yet undiscovered, they were also the birthplace of many quests. Most books can be found inside libraries although some can be found random places.
This list includes only the books that are currently spawning in-game on a daily basis.
