Access:

Shakir can be accessed by travelling with NPC Shaish who is all the way east of Osaris, north of the Horned Citadel, here. He will only allow you to travel if you have completed up to Mission 4 of The Osaris Faction.

Hunting Places:

Shakir consists of the main slaver camp (with a lots of Slave Hunters, Slave Guards and Shakirian Prayers roaming around), as well as several small islands in the surrounding waters. Sand Spiders are present almost everywhere on this remote island.

One of the most popular places to hunt here is Shakirian Tomb, where unique monsters such as Anubis or Giant Cobras await their prey on the bottom floor. Upper floors are suitable for lower leveled as well as middle leveled characters, with great spawns of Mummies, Crypt Shamblers, couple of Revenants and variety of different weaker undeads. More information about the tomb and how to get there you can find here and here respectively.

Moreover, it is possible to access a small island in the north of Shakir, full of Drakes and Drake Lords.

Books (about Shakir):

Chronology of Nomads I
A nomad is a member of a group of people who have no fixed home and move according to the seasons from place to place in search of food, water, and grazing land, a wanderer in search of pasture. This is the Thaian definition of a nomad. They call us nomads.

They call us nomads. Our great-grandfathers' great-grandfathers used to inhabit Kha'labal before its destruction, our tribes live in this area for the longest. Darama is our country and we have a fixed home. We spent our lives on the land of the prophet Shakirian and live according to his teachings. We have a fixed home.

They call us nomads. We are no nomads. We are the Shakirian natives. We are the founders.

Chronology of Nomads II
After Kha'labal was ablazed by the Efreets and Drefia crumbled into dust, our ancestors were harassed. Many men died in the Djinn war, the great fertile plains of Kha'labal turned to sand, the foundation of the human race was detonated. This was the time when Banor, the great defender of Yehsha, decided to leave Darama with his fellows and to look for another land than Kha'labal to settle down. Our tribes decided to stay and as the centuries passed, Darama was forgotten. The childs of Banor did forget about us. The place where the gods gave birth to the human race became a remote mystical island.

Chronology of Nomads III
The children of Banor returned to the spring of their lives. Many ships arrived with armed men, priests who teach the word of Banor and adventurers, who seek for the origin of life. Their great wooden ships did not only carry human passengers. The settlers came with greed in their hearts to Darama. Instead of putting their arms around us natives, they abused their arms to disperse our tribes from, what they call, is “their land”. The children of Banor have lost their way. Greed has poisoned man's soul, has barricaded the world with hate, has gusted us into misery and bloodshed. They have developed walls in their minds and shut themselves from another.

Roaming thru the desert of Kha'labal and Devourer, our tribes were forced to live the life of nomads. We will not raise our weapons to the sky and attack the intruders instead we have faith into the lessons of Shakirian.

Chronology of Nomads IV
Last month the Thaian King has empowered general Kazzan to become the emir of Osaris. Since then emir Kazzan commanded his soldiers to raid two small settlements of us. They slaughter our families, brothers and sisters in order to make a fortune. They belief we carry anything of value with us and since they discovered ancient chronologies of Kha'labal, soldiers of the emir arrest, torture and kill natives in order to get information about how to find the secret entrances to the former buildings of Kha'labal. Our people are dying and for too long we had no hope any longer.

We might have misunderstood the teachings of Shakirian. According to our prayers a son was born who will save us from our misery, a descendant of Shakirian himself who gathers all natives on a remote island south east of Yehsha.

For too long we have accepted this invasion, for too long we have tolerated the defilement of our homes. It is time to gather our forces and strike them to the ground.

The prophet Damaran said:

"The fear of death is but a trifle compared to the fear of life."

We will not be subjected to criminal abuse any further.

Chronology of Nomads V
The founder's people are on a quest. We have turned our back on our former lives, we follow no longer the peaceful lessons of Shakirian the first. The gods' power of the universe did sire a son, Shakirian the Great. He is the descendant of giants. He is blessed with Shakirian's wisdom and Banor's strength. He will guide us to victory. From Darkness he rose up in triumph to ascend the throne of Darama where we shall dwell.

He is the only one knowing about the secret of the desert. Given no bread nor meat we roamed the desert for twenty days. Fasting and agony, he made of himself a sacrifice to himself. In a flash of insight the secret magic of the ancestors was revealed to him. He took up the mysterious and mastered them. We follow his path into the forsaken temples of Kha'labal, to find Banor's mighty weapons to smash the enemy and bring justice back to our lands.

The difference between a rat and a locker
The difference between a rat and a locker is obvious to the people who have seen the deeper meaning in taking differences. Although most lockers are of similar color like a rat, the shape varies slightly and indeed one can place about two items more into a locker than into a rat which is another valid point to argue with. However, the final proof remains undone, the discussion about the mystical connection between rats and lockers will ablaze once more after we published this paper.

How to live according to Shakirian, first lesson
In this world is room for everyone and a good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of live can be free and beautiful. We humans have to renounce the worldly opulence, property and other earthly joys are catalysts for the seed of greed and corruption of our race. We have to focus on our souls and see the beauty of the detail.

Shakirian said to Malor:

"Mylord, I am an old man who has little use for pretty baubles. And truly I have never valued a thing that could be bought for gold."

To respect other livings, to live in coexistence with the nature and to worship our god's, this shall be our vow. This is the way we shall live according to the lessons of Shakirian.

How to live according to Shakirian, second lesson
All that I am shall live in thy command, Shakirian the Great. Pray in the morning, fight in the evening. We, the followers of Shakirian the Great, shall worship all living which is not hostile towards us folks. We shall dwell on Darama forever as the sole inhabitants. We vow to be obedient to Shakirian the Great, the only true king of Darama and his progeny. We will never be again subjected to criminal abuse.
