The Soul Emerald is obtainable as one of the rewards you can choose (out of three) after finishing the The Plaguebringers of Abukir quest.
The color of the HotFK can be changed at NPC Mazarin located in the Fiery Pit Tomb in a hidden pickole here}.
The color can be changed to one of three: red, blue or purple. It costs 100 Medivia Coins to do so.
