Giant Spiders chase their victims down very quickly. Their hits are terrifying and eat through even the strongest of armors.

Mostly Archers hunt Giant Spiders. They have a really strong melee attack which makes it difficult to hunt them within melee range. Their Haste combined with the melee is the reason why this monster is feared by low levels.

Archers	A Archer around level 45 is able to outrun Giant Spiders with Haste and Boots of Haste. That's why you see many Archers hunting those south of the Temple in PoH. It is also possible to kill them as a Mage with HMM's but you'll most likely waste.
