Magic level is one of the most basic and important skills available to all vocations in Medivia. It increases your Spellpower, which in turn increases the amount of damage you do with spells and runes (except for Berserk and Decimate), as well as the amount of healing you do with spells and runes.

General Information:

  • Magic level advances when a player spends naturally regenerating mana points by using Spells, damage taken while using the Magic Shield spell does not count towards your magic level.
  • Druids and Mages advance the most quickly in magic level and regenerate mana most quickly.
  • Archers advance in magic level and regenerate mana considerably more slowly than mages and druids, while Knights advance and regenerate at the slowest rate of all.
  • Base mana regeneration speed depends on your character's Vocation and Promotion. Food is the most basic requirement for regeneration to occur, and it can only occur outside of protection zones such as depots or houses.
  • Cooked Meals, Life Rings, Rings of Healing, Rings of Purity, Big Mana Potions and equipment with Presence of Mind are the most common methods of further increasing mana regeneration and thus of training your magic level.
  • Small Explosive Rune damage is drawn mostly from magic level.
  • Only 2 items in-game can be used to increase your magic level, those are the Magic Wand and Ritual Wand obtained from the 4000 Priestess task and 4000 Necromancer Task respectively. They are technically shields with 0 defense and are thus extremely rarely used.
