Method:
This article may contain quest spoiling information! Mission 1: For Minoras! After the war between the Lightbringers allied with the minotaurs and the Imperial army, many Lightbringers were captured and killed. Taurin Twinhorn was also captured but released by Emperor Arsene to avoid chaos among the minotaur race. However, Emperor Arsene kept Taurin Twinhorn's powerful dagger that was given to him by a powerful warlock. Head to Taurin Twinhorn via the Route to Minoras and ask him to "Join" and then for a "Mission". He requires you to prove your loyalty and asks you to retrieve his dagger from Emperor Arsene. Go to Emperor Arsene and ask him about "dagger". The king will, however, tell you that he has given the dagger to the orc king as a token of trust and you will have to go back to Taurin Twinhorn and say "Mission". Conversation with Taurin Twinhorn Player: Join Taurin Twinhorn: Another human trying to join our ranks. I have had it with your scum of a race! First you take Taurin Twinhorn as a prisoner and torture him but now that I am king of the minotaurs everyone wants to ally with me. Taurin Twinhorn: I have made my mistakes. Those damn Lightbringers! Promised me to get rid of the humans that captured me all those years ago. Promised me revenge. Taurin Twinhorn: And now? The enemy has taken control over them! Every human I trusted is dead. Yet, here you are, asking if you may join our ranks. Taurin Twinhorn: I am no idiot. I know very well that not all humans are alike. Just like minotaurs are not alike. Taurin Twinhorn: I shall give you a chance to earn my trust, Emperor Pengu. Let me know if you want to help me out. Player: help Taurin Twinhorn: As you might know our race has had great losses during the great human war. We allied with the Lightbringers, whos leaders promised me a swift victory. Taurin Twinhorn: But as you know, that never happened. The Imperial army was too much to handle for our allied forces and in a gruesome battle we have lost everyone. Taurin Twinhorn: Muir...Daronk...even Ephraim...they were all caught and either killed on the spot or executed for treason. I was allowed to stay alive since Emperor Arsene fears chaos among our race without me and he is not wrong. Taurin Twinhorn: I hear despite their loss, the Lightbringers do still exist. Apparently, Emperor Arsene only executed their leaders. He probably understood how big of a force they are. A force he definitely wants fighting for him. Taurin Twinhorn: So now, instead of being one of the new rulers I am forced to stay in Minoras and make sure my servants do not bother the other races. Taurin Twinhorn: But why am I explaining myself to you. You have not even proven yourself worthy to be part of the minotaur faction. Taurin Twinhorn: Luckily, I can use a humans help. During the final days of the war Muir asked me for a powerful dagger given to me by a mighty warlock. Taurin Twinhorn: To the south of Minoras you can find the old Lightbringer hideout. The kings men killed Muir and told every other Lightbringer to either join them or be locked in. Taurin Twinhorn: Some went with them. Those are the ones forming the new Lightbringers. The others, the renegades, were locked away. We are still feeding them but entry is strictly forbidden. Taurin Twinhorn: Should they ever want to reconsider joining the new Lightbringers ruled by Arsene they may still do so. One of the kings men comes once in a while to reason with them. Taurin Twinhorn: Anyways, I am drifting off topic: We have asked the kings men whether they would give me my dagger back but they insisted on bringing it to Arsene instead. Taurin Twinhorn: Could you please go and meet with Arsene and ask him to give my dagger back? Without my knowledge it is worthless to him anyways. Taurin Twinhorn: Just tell him I sent you. Maybe he is willing to give it to you to show trust in our new alliance. Do that and I will consider recruiting you. Conversation with Emperor Arsene Player: mission Emperor Arsene: Soooo... Taurin Twinhorn sent you to obtain that dagger we found with Muir, eh? What are you doing helping those minotaurs anyways? Emperor Arsene: Oh well, it might not be a bad idea having humans work side by side with other races. Sadly, I do no longer have his dagger. Someone else already asked me for it. Emperor Arsene: A servant of the orc king asked me for the dagger not too long ago. Since we are trying to establish a new order in which the races get along without a war I gave it to him to show my trust in him. Emperor Arsene: I cannot possibly know whose dagger it really is. Neither orcs nor minotaurs have a reputation of being honest. Therefore, the dagger will stay with the orc king for now. Emperor Arsene: Tell Taurin Twinhorn this. Besides, I do not want him hanging onto something from Muir. Don't want to give him any wrong ideas, if you know what I mean. Mission 2: Orc Warriors Taurin Twinhorn will tell you that his allies near Mittenhoff have reported some losses by an unknown attacker. So, Taurin Twinhorn will ask you to kill 1000 Orc Warriors to set back the orc power. The best place to do this task is either in the Garrogat Orc Cave or in Mejborn (50~ Orc Warriors spawn). You can sail to Mejborn with a raft here. Go down the hole here and then go to the pickhole mark as shown below, use a pick on the dirt on the shown tile, the floor below has many orc warriors. When you are done, speak to Taurin and say "mission". You will be rewarded with 200,000 Experience and you will be able to use the Minotaur Raft System to sail between the Osaris Horned Citadel and Minoras (hi > passage > yes). Mission 3: Isingoma's Dagger Ask Taurin Twinhorn about another "mission". He will send you to Osaris to check if Lihsha is in possession of one of Isingoma's daggers. You have to visit her but she will send you to Ziyad. He will sell you the Drained Spellpower Dagger for 50,000 gp. After purchasing it return to Taurin Twinhorn and report the mission. You will be rewarded with 5 crystal coins to compensate for your expenses. Mission 4: Orc Bowmen Taurin Twinhorn will tell you that the orcs still seem to be killing their men in Mittenhoff, so he instructs you to hunt down 750 Orc Bowmen. You can see a good way of doing it here. When you finish this task, you will be rewarded with 300,000 Experience and a piece of Heliodor Ore. Mission 5: Orc Berserkers Taurin Twinhorn will tell you that General Manos has reported Orc Berserkers building a secret tunnel to minotaur encampments in the great river deep underneath Medivia and slaying the minotaurs in their sleep. He will ask you to kill 650 Orc Berserkers. When you finish this task, you will be rewarded with 125,000 Experience. Mission 6: Orc Leaders Taurin Twinhorn will tell you that it is hard to judge whether your actions have reduced their losses, but once you are done with your next mission the orcs forces should be greatly diminished. He will ask you to kill 550 Orc Leaders this time. When you finish this task, you will be rewarded with 400,000 Experience and a Heliodor Bar. Mission 7: Slaying General Manos Taurin Twinhorn will tell you that the orcs weren't responsible for the minotaur deaths after all. In fact it was his own General Manos that had been killing his own men in order to deceive Taurin Twinhorn into going after the orcs. Manos betrayed his king because he was seeking revenge after an orc warlord murdered his wife. Taurin Twinhorn will ask you to slay General Manos. Taurin Twinhorn will have General Manos be in the new laboratory for you to ambush him. You can find him here (video example of the fight). The reward for killing him is 400,000 Experience. You will also be rewarded with a Royal Minotaur Ring which is needed to complete the Imperial Faction and Taurin Twinhorn will be willing to craft a belt for the Warrior Outfit for you if you collect the necessary ingredients.
